Hope for the Hungry
Updated: Apr 16
Even though congregations are not able to meet at this time, churches are still getting involved and making a difference in our community. One of our clients and partners is ensuring that the community is still getting fed during these dire times.
St. Mark Lutheran Church, with campuses located in Green Bay and De Pere, has its food pantry in full swing and their team members are working hard to make sure that anyone in need can eat. As a proud member of the Brown County Food and Hunger Network, they believe that it is their duty to give their community access to a variety of good and healthy foods, but in order to do this, they need donations from people like you.
If you would like to help them make a difference in our community, please consider donating any non-perishables that you have. They are accepting donations at a table outside of their main campus – which is located at 2066 Lawrence Drive in De Pere – Monday thru Thursday from 9 AM to 1 PM.
They are currently offering curb-side pickup as well, so you can stay in your vehicle while maintaining the 6-foot social distancing guideline.
Specific items that would help the most right now include: tomato soup, jelly, crackers, toilet paper and laundry soap – although they will welcome and accept anything!
They could also use more volunteers, so if you are looking for a way to use your newfound free time productively, please reach out to Lydia Parlow at firstname.lastname@example.org.
It would be a great way to impact the community while giving people the peace of mind that comes with having the food and supplies that are necessary for survival.
